Beginning August 2016 I will be an assistant professor in the Department of Government at the University of West Florida. My fields of interest are international relations and comparative politics. Specifically, my research focuses on international conflict. My work has generally examined two aspects of conflict. First, the role of power – specifically the ability of countries to inflict costs on one another – on conflict processes. Secondly, my work examines the role of domestic politics on conflict and how often issues of power and domestic politics interact to influence conflict. I have recently published in International Interactions and Foreign Policy Analysis. More information about my research can be found here.
