I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at Florida State University. My fields of interest are international relations and comparative politics. Specifically, my research focuses on international conflict. My work has generally examined two aspects of conflict. First, the role of power – specifically the ability of countries to inflict costs on one another – on conflict processes. Secondly, my work examines the role of domestic politics on conflict and how often issues of power and domestic politics interact to influence conflict. I have an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in international and comparative politics. I also have a graduate degree from WMU in comparative politics.
